Nepal Anticipates Light Rain and Snowfall in Mountainous Regions Amid Westerly Winds

Kathmandu: Nepal is currently experiencing the partial effects of westerly winds, according to the Weather Forecast Division. As a result, mountainous areas, particularly in the Koshi province, are expected to witness some alterations in weather conditions, while the remaining provinces will experience general weather patterns.

Meteorologist Saroj Pudasaini has reported that there is a likelihood of light rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning occurring in one to two locations within the mountainous regions, leading to partial changes in the overall weather across the country. Additionally, snowfall has been forecasted for one to two areas within the high mountainous and hilly territories of Nepal.

As of now, Kathmandu's minimum temperature stands at 17 degrees Celsius, with the maximum temperature fluctuating between 25 to 27 degrees Celsius, as indicated by the Division.

Moreover, the Weather Forecast Division has predicted partial weather changes during the night across the nation. These meteorological developments are indicative of the onset of westerly winds and their influence on Nepal's climate.
